House Passes Higher Pandemic Relief, Overrides Trump Defense Veto
The U.S. House of Representatives has passed higher pandemic relief payments to Americans, meeting President Donald Trump’s demand for $2,000 COVID-19 relief checks, and it passed an override of Trump’s veto of a multibillion-dollar bill funding the country’s defense programs. The House interrupted its usual Christmas recess to return to work to pass the measures Monday, less than a week before a new Congress is to be sworn into office. The Democrat-led House passed the additional pandemic relief payments by a vote of 275-134. The House and Senate had previously passed $600 payments for struggling Americans as part of a compromise $2.3 trillion pandemic aid and spending package between Democratic and Republican lawmakers, however Trump sharply criticized the legislation. He threatened to block its passage if Congress did not increase the stimulus payments to $2,000 and cut other spending. But on Sunday, as a government shutdown loomed, he signed the bill. МКІП: число релігійних громад ПЦУ становить понад 7 тисяч, УПЦ МП – майже 12 з половиною
В Україні нараховується 7097 релігійних організацій, які належать до структури Православної церкви України (ПЦУ), і 12410 – зі структури Української православної церкви, яка перебуває в єдності з Московським патріархатом. Про це йдеться в отриманій 28 грудня відповіді Міністерства культури та інформаційної політики на запит Радіо Свобода.
Статистичний звіт, на який посилається міністерство, містить застарілі майже на рік дані (станом на 01.01.2020). Вперше вони були оприлюднені в наказі Міністерства культури та інформаційної політики України від 14.04.2020 № 1657.
«Для проведення богослужінь релігійні організації Православної церкви України використовували 5299 культових та пристосованих під молитовні будівель: 3673 культові будівлі та 1626 приміщень, пристосованих під молитовні. Українська православна церква у єдності з Московським патріархатом налічувала 12410 релігійних організацій, які своєму користуванні мали 11157 культових та пристосованих під молитовні будівель, зокрема 7804 культових будівель та 3353 приміщень, пристосованих під молитовні», – ідеться у відповіді.
У міністерстві також звернули увагу, що не мають даних про діяльність релігійних структур, які діють на тимчасово анексованій території Автономної Республіки Крим та на непідконтрольних територіях Донецької та Луганської областей.
Православна церква України була створена з благословення Вселенського патріархату в грудні 2018 року на Об’єднавчому соборі в Києві. Цей собор об’єднав представників усіх гілок українського православ’я і поклав край так званому «розколові» в Україні, про який твердили прихильники Москви. На початку 2019 року Вселенський патріарх Варфоломій вручив предстоятелеві ПЦУ митрополитові Київському і всієї України Епіфанію томос про канонічне визнання автокефалії ПЦУ як помісної церкви України.
ПЦУ є однією з 15 канонічних автокефальних помісних церков, які складають православну спільноту. Але на цей час вона визнана чотирма з них, які перелічив Епіфаній, це, крім Вселенського патріархату, також Александрійський патріархат – один із найдавніших історичних патріархатів, Елладська православна церква (в Греції) і Кіпрська православна церква. Таким чином, ПЦУ залишається досягти визнання ще десяти православних церков.
Процес визнання новостворених канонічно церков іншими церквами, як правило, триває роками чи й десятиліттями. У випадкові з ПЦУ цьому процесові активно перешкоджає Москва – і Російська православна церква (Московський патріархат), і російська держава.
Підрозділ РПЦ в Україні, так звана Українська православна церква, що підпорядкована Московському патріархатові, є частиною канонічно визнаної РПЦ, але на території України її канонічний статус сумнівний. Вона не має статусу помісної церкви і, як повідомляв Вселенський патріарх, «в дусі пастирської чуйності ми тимчасово терпимо існування українських ієрархів під Росією не як місцевих правлячих єпископів, а лише як титулярних (таких, які не керують тією єпархією, назву якої вони використовують – ред.) або тих, що перебувають (мають резиденцію) в Україні, ієрархів» у сподіванні, що вони об’єднаються з канонічною ПЦУ.

Затриманому на акції під Мінрегіоном загрожує термін за «тілесні ушкодження поліцейському»
Поліція Києва повідомила про відкриття кримінального провадження через напад на поліцейського в Міністерстві розвитку громад і територій 28 грудня.
Згідно з повідомленням, під час акції біля будівлі Мінрегіону кілька людей намагалися «прорватися в приміщення» міністерства.
«При цьому чоловік наніс тілесні ушкодження поліцейському. Правопорушника затримали… За фактом нападу на поліцейського розслідується кримінальне провадження за частиною 2 статті 345 Кримінального кодексу України (умисне завдання тілесних ушкоджень легкої чи середньої тяжкості правоохоронцю чи його родичам – ред.)», – повідомляє пресслужба київської поліції.

Ця кваліфікація передбачає обмеження чи позбавлення волі на термін до п’яти років.

Міністерство юстиції України назвало найрідкісніші й найпоширеніші імена дітей у 2020 році.
«В Україні найбільш рідкісними іменами серед хлопчиків цьогоріч стали Зеленський, Яник, Вакула, Лимон, Київ, Князь, Принц, Парижан. Серед дівчаток же зустрічались такі імена, як Луна, Імперія, Золушка, Хрусталіна, Квітка, Шанель, Нева», – повідомили в міністерстві.
У відомстві розповіли, що серед найбільш поширених імен хлопчиків – Артем, Андрій, Богдан, Владислав, Володимир, Данило та Дмитро. Серед жіночих імен найбільш популярними у 2020 році стали Анна, Анастасія, Антоніна, Богдана, Валерія та Вікторія.

У новорічну ніч рятувальники ДСНС працюватимуть у посиленому режимі
У Новорічну ніч Держслужба з надзвичайних ситуацій України працюватиме в посиленому режимі, оперативно реагуючи на на будь-які надзвичайні ситуації техногенного та природного характеру. Про це представник ДСНС повідомив у коментарі Радіо Свобода.
Зокрема, йдеться про посилений моніторинг щодо пожежної безпеки на потенційно небезпечних об’єктах та об’єктах державного значення.
«На свята посилений режим. Це стосується Нового року, Різдва 6-7 січня. Після 9-го все буде так, як завжди», – повідомили в ДСНС.
У цей період також чергуватиме літак літак Ан-26.
Під час запалення головної ялинки на Софійській площі в Києві ДСНС повідомила про загоряння гірлянди на ялинці через піротехнічні вогні. Пожежу вдалося ліквідувати без залучення рятувальників, ніхто не постраждав.
7 січня українські православні церкви та Українська греко-католицька церква святкуватимуть Різдво Христове за юліанським календарем (так званим «старим стилем»).

У Китаї до 4 років ув’язнення засудили журналістку, яка висвітлювала спалах COVID-19 в Ухані
Китайський суд виніс вирок громадській журналістці Жань Жан, яка повідомляла про початок коронавірусної епідемії у місті Ухань в лютому 2020 року. Її засудили до чотирьох років ув’язнення, повідомив її адвокат Рен Куаннью журналістам поруч із будівлею суду Нового району Пудонг.
І 37-річна колишня юристка Жань записувала відео переповнених крематоріїв і лікарень, які широко розходилися соцмережами. Ці кадри показували, як місто намагається протидіяти поширенню COVID-19 на початку спалаху.
Жінку звинуватили у «пошуку приводів для сварок та провокуванні турбот» за її висвітлення хаотичної першої реакції на перші випадки.
«Жань Жан виглядала пригніченою, коли вирок був виголошений», – сказав Рен Куаннью.

Китай наражався на критику через першу реакцію на поширення коронавірусу, в тому числі на обвинувачення в приховуванні інформації про збудника та захворювання. Тільки 17 грудня Пекін погодився прийняти слідчу групу Всесвітньої організації охорони здоров’я надіслати групу розслідувачів, яка має виявити походження коронавірусу SARS-CoV-2.

На Софійську площу у Києві повернули знятий з головної ялинки капелюх – КМДА
Конструкцію у вигляді капелюха, який раніше зняли з верхівки головної ялинки у Києві, повернули на Софійську площу, повідомила у фейсбуці директорка Департаменту культури КМДА Діана Попова.
«Довжелезна черга стоїть до накращого символічного місця, де можна загадати бажання під чарівним капелюхом Символічне фото під найочікуванішим арт-об’єктом сезону можна зробити біля головної ялинки країни», – повідомила Попова і розмістила під дописом кілька світлин.
На фото видно, як капелюх височіє над кріслом, до якого підходять для фільмування відвідувачі святкового містечка.
13 грудня, за кілька днів до відкриття головної ялинки у Києві, з її верхівки зняли конструкцію у вигляді капелюха. Замінити її на зірку вирішили організатори після критики у мережі і серед духовенства.

Дипломати повідомили про оновлення правил в’їзду для українців до Польщі з 28 грудня
Посольство України в Польщі повідомило, що з понеділка, 28 грудня, Польща оновлює правила в’їзду для громадян України на свою територію.
Як йдеться на сайті посольства у неділю, серед основних прав для в’їзду є такі норми щодо громадян: які є подружжям або дітьми громадян Польщі, мають «Карту поляка», право на постійне або тимчасове проживання, право на роботу, здобувають освіту у Польщі, є науковцями, членами родин громадянина ЄС, є водіями транспортних засобів сфери міжнародних перевезень, є моряками, рибалками, працівниками морських видобувних чи бурових платформ, є працівниками дипломатичних та консульських установ, пасажирами повітряних суден (за певних умов), в’їжджають до Польщі з метою участі у спортивних заходах і на підставі «гуманітарної» чи «бізнес»-візи, є іноземними підприємцями тощо.
Крім того, дипломати вказали на умови, за яких громадяни звільняються від обов’язку перебування на карантині після в’їзду на територію Польщі. З повним переліком цих та інших умов можна ознайомитися за посиланням.
З початку пандемії COVID-19 більшість країн ЄС, в тому числі і Польща, переглянули свої умови щодо прибуття іноземців на їхню територію.

На Львівщині починає працювати система автоматичної фото- та відеофіксації порушень ПДР
На Львівщині з 30 грудня починає працювати система автоматичної фото- та відеофіксації порушень правил дорожнього руху, повідомив заступник начальника Департаменту патрульної поліції Олексій Білошицький у фейсбуці.
За його словами, 30 грудня на автомобільній дорозі М-06 (Київ – Чоп) запрацюють три камери фіксації правопорушень, які контролюватимуть дотримання вимог ПДР в автоматичному режимі.
Одну камеру розмістять на 490-му кілометрі поблизу міста Буськ, ще дві – на 555-му кілометрі поблизу села Солонка.
«Ці місця були обрані через велику кількість виявлених на них порушень швидкісного режиму, які призводили до аварійних ситуацій та ДТП», – написав Білошицький.
За його словами, у перший день запуску цієї системи в Києві та Київській області камери автоматичної фіксації зафіксували 57 880 порушень швидкісного режиму. Зараз ця кількість зменшилась в п’ять разів, а також в три рази зменшилася кількість ДТП в місцях, де були встановлені ці камери.
Наразі автоматично фіксують правопорушення 45 камер, які розташовані в Києві та Київській області.

Опади у 2021-му не наповнять водосховища Криму – експерт Національної академії аграрних наук
Навіть якщо зима та весна 2021 року будуть багатими на опади, наповнити водосховища в анексованому Криму це не дозволить, вважає заступник директора Інституту водних проблем і меліорації Національної академії аграрних наук Михайло Яцюк. Про це він сказав у коментарі проєкту Радіо Свобода Крим.Реалії.
«Ті опади, які випадають, фактично не є стокоформуючими, вони більше здійснюють зволоженість території і поповнюють вологозапаси ґрунту, але вони не формують стік. І це чітко відображається в тій проблематиці, яка сьогодні ж знову стоїть перед (окупаційною російською – ред.) владою Криму», – сказав Яцюк.

Він додав, що ситуація зі зневодненням Криму цього року позначатиметься на його забезпеченні водою і в подальші роки.
Україна забезпечувала до 85% потреб Криму в прісній воді через Північнокримський канал, що з’єднує головне русло Дніпра з півостровом. Після окупації Криму Росією в 2014 році постачання води на півострів із материкової частини України припинили.
Запаси води в Криму поповнюють із водосховищ природного стоку і підземних джерел. За заявами екологів, надмірне використання води з підземних джерел призвело до засолення ґрунтів на півострові. Окупаційна влада Криму регулярно закликає жителів півострова економити воду.

При цьому, за даними водогосподарників, власних запасів води в Криму вистачало на потреби власне населення за його чисельності часів до окупації, але вже бракує для нових переселенців із сусідньої Росії, збільшених контингентів російських військ, а також для потреб військових частин, промисловості і сільського господарства. Росія час від часу вимагає від Києва поновити постачання води каналом.

Завершився ремонт буксиру «Яни Капу», який побував у полоні Росії – Міноборони
Завершився ремонт рейдового буксира Військово-морських сил «Яни Капу», повідомило інформаційне агентство Міністерства оборони «АрміяІнформ» 26 грудня. Ремонт здійснювало одне з українських судноремонтних підприємств.
«Під час докового ремонту на «Яни Капу» було проведено очищення, дефектування та заміна пошкоджених ділянок корпусу і палуби, з подальшим їх фарбуванням. Відновлено системи головного двигуна, зокрема здійснено ремонт газоходу, паливних насосів, клапанів пожежної системи та компресорів. Також важливо, що на буксирі провели ремонт донно-заборної апаратури, рульового та якірного пристроїв, електрообладнання, внутрішніх приміщень», – повідомляє інформаційний ресурс міністерства.
Загалом, за даними «АрміяІнформ», у 2020 році для потреб флоту відремонтували 12 бойових кораблів та катерів, а також дев’ять суден забезпечення.

Росія захопила три кораблі ВМС України («Бердянськ», «Нікополь» і «Яни Капу») і 24 українських військовослужбовців – моряків і працівників СБУ – 25 листопада 2018 року неподалік Керченської протоки з застосуванням зброї в міжнародних водах, що за міжнародним правом визнається як акт агресії.
Москва відмовилася визнавати за захопленими статус військовополонених і намагалася судити їх за кримінальними статтями на кшталт «незаконного перетину російського кордону».
Міжнародний трибунал із морського права наказав Росії негайно звільнити військових і повернути кораблі. Москва відмовилася це зробити.
Моряків урешті передали Україні не безумовно, за рішенням трибуналу, а в рамках обміну утримуваними. При цьому Росія відпустила моряків формально під «особисте зобов’язання» за першим викликом з’явитися до Росії на суд над ними у справі, яку там так і не закрили.
20 листопада 2019 року і захоплені кораблі повернулися в порт Очакова (Миколаївська область) після року утримання в окупованому Криму. У вересні 2020 року концерн «Укроборонпром» повідомив про завершення докового ремонту броньованого артилерійського катера «Бердянськ».

В Україну не впустили громадянку Росії, яка незаконно відвідувала Крим, повідомляє Державна прикордонна служба України 26 грудня.
За повідомленням, 26-річна дівчина, ім’я якої служба не називає, прибула до Києва авіарейсом із Туреччини.
«Прикордонники виявили громадянку РФ, 1994 року народження, яка порушила порядок в’їзду-виїзду на ТОТ АР Крим. Порушницею виявилася російська блогерка. Іноземку охоронці кордону в Україну не пропустили та, крім того, на три роки заборонили їй в’їзд до нашої країни», – повідомляє Держприкордонслужба.

В суботу бойовики один раз порушували режим тиші – штаб ООС
Російські гібридні сили один раз порушили режим припинення вогню протягом доби 26 грудня, повідомляє штаб Операції об’єднаних сил.
За вечірнім зведенням, бойовики відкривали вогонь зі стрілецької зброї поблизу села Березове в Донецькій області.
«Постріли окупантів були неприцільними і не несли загрози життю наших військовослужбовців, тому вогонь у відповідь вони не відкривали. Серед українських воїнів бойових втрат та поранень немає. Українські захисники перебувають напоготові до ймовірних підступних та провокативних дій ворога і в разі загрози життю чи здоров’ю, готові надати адекватну відповідь», – запевняють у штабі.

Збройний конфлікт на Донбасі триває від 2014 року після російської окупації Криму. Україна і Захід звинувачують Росію у збройній підтримці бойовиків. Кремль відкидає ці звинувачення і заявляє, що на Донбасі можуть перебувати хіба що російські «добровольці».
За даними ООН, від квітня 2014-го до 31 липня 2020 року внаслідок збройного конфлікту на Донбасі загинули від 13 100 до 13 300 людей.

МОЗ хоче здобути трансплантаційну незалежність України протягом 3 років – Степанов
Міністерство охорони здоров’я прагне здобути трансплантаційну незалежність України протягом трьох найближчих років, повідомив міністр охорони здоров’я Максим Степанов 26 грудня.
«З цією метою у 2020 році МОЗ ініціювало затвердження відповідної нормативної бази. Зокрема, на цьому тижні за ініціативою МОЗ уряд розширив перелік закладів охорони здоров’я, що долучаються до Пілотного проєкту трансплантації, до 38. До проєкту приєдналася також одна приватна лікарня: це свідчення того, що відповідні тарифи на трансплантацію, розраховані МОЗ, повністю реальні», – цитує слова Степанова пресслужба МОЗ.
Потребу в таких операціях міністерство оцінило приблизно у п’ять тисяч на рік.
За даними МОЗ, протягом 2020 року в Україні здійснено вісім пересадок серця, 19 пересадок печінки, 91 пересадка нирки. Загалом цього року провели 118 трансплантацій проти 78, зроблених у 2019 році.
Водночас у міністерстві очікують, що в 2021 році Україна збільшить кількість трансплантацій мінімум удвічі – буде зроблено не менше ніж 250 пересадок життєво важливих органів.

But Biden’s representatives have not said whether executions would be paused immediately once Biden takes office.Montgomery was convicted of killing 23-year-old Bobbie Jo Stinnett in the northwest Missouri town of Skidmore in December 2004. She used a rope to strangle Stinnett, who was eight months pregnant, and then a kitchen knife to cut the baby girl from the womb, authorities said.Prosecutors said Montgomery removed the baby from Stinnett’s body, took the child with her, and attempted to pass the girl off as her own.
