Trump Takes Campaign to Midwest as Democrats Kick Off Convention Week

On the day the Democratic Party began its virtual convention, the incumbent Republican president, Donald Trump, brought his campaign to the heart of the upper Midwest. In campaign-style stops at airports in Minnesota and Wisconsin on Monday — replicating the rock music soundtracks of his “Make America Great Again” political rallies — the president, speaking to invited clusters of supporters on the tarmacs, accused his presumptive election opponent of being a clueless puppet of “left-wing fascists.” A victory by the opposition party in November, Trump warned, would mean open borders, economic collapse and other perceived calamities. Later, during a similar event on the tarmac at the airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Trump said “no one will be a safe in Biden-run America” because the former vice president and his running mate, Senator Kamala Harris, “are pro-crime and anti-cop.” Trump was competitive in Minnesota in 2016; Hillary Clinton barely won the state.  “It is clear that to the extent that the president has a strategy, it is the old ploy to play up the fears of white middle class beset by protests, riots and changing demography,” Jennifer Delton, a history professor at Skidmore College, told VOA. “The George Floyd protests, the concurrent riots and resulting property damage, and continued calls to ‘defund’ police are all disturbing and uncomfortable realities” for many in Minnesota of the older baby boomer generation, regardless of their political leaning.   Minnesota was, for much of the 20th century, a bastion of the progressive liberal tradition out of which emerged two vice presidents from the Democratic Party: Hubert Humphrey and Walter Mondale. But since the 1980s, that tradition has been challenged by a variety of conservatives.  “At the same time, the state has become incredibly diverse with strong, politically active Hmong and Somali communities,” Delton said. Two days later, he is scheduled to be near Biden’s boyhood home in the northeastern city of Scranton, Pennsylvania. That will occur the same day Biden makes his presidential nomination acceptance speech from neighboring Delaware. In his successful 2016 campaign for the White House, Trump reveled in the cheers from sign-waving supporters at large public rallies. But both the Trump and Biden public campaigns have been sharply curtailed this year by the coronavirus pandemic and the need to keep their adherents socially distanced from each other.  The change, which Trump blames on China allowing the coronavirus to escape Wuhan, was lamented by the president Monday. Because of the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus, the president said that when candidates give speeches now, “you have to stand two football fields away” from the audience. This week’s swing through the four states reflects the new reality of downsized events that are the antithesis of U.S. presidential campaigns of yesteryears.  Trump, who for months has been trailing Biden in national polls, is hoping to limit a further political fall-off generated by the virtual Democratic convention, where party luminaries for four days will extol Biden and pillory Trump’s 3½ years as president, particularly his handling of the pandemic and early-2020 predictions that the virus will disappear.  “The China plague will fade, but we will not forget,” Trump stated in Mankato on Monday. The United States, with nearly 5.5 million coronavirus cases, also has the most reported COVID-19 deaths of any country –- more than 170,000. The president prefers to dwell on other matters during his campaign-style events. On Monday, he spoke about rebuilding the economy a second time after the pandemic hit. “You know what that is?” Trump asked. “That’s right. That’s God testing me. He said, ‘You know, you did it once.’ And I said, ‘Did I do a great job, God? I’m the only one that could do it.’ He said, ‘That, you shouldn’t say. Справа ймовірного прослуховування журналіста Ткача: відбувся слідчий експеримент, знову – без спецтехніки

У справі щодо ймовірного прослуховування журналіста програми «Схеми» (проєкт Радіо Свобода і телеканалу «UA:Перший») Михайла Ткача провели слідчий експеримент: поліція з’ясовувала, чи чутно у квартирах на останньому поверсі свердління, якщо воно відбувається на горищі.

Як повідомив адвокат журналіста Анатолій Попов, 17 серпня на огляд місця події приїхала слідчо-оперативна група Нацполіції і експерт із науково-дослідного експертного криміналістичного центру МВС.

На думку адвокатів журналіста, така слідча дія не матиме суттєвого значення для розслідування, а водночас перевірка спецтехнікою, яку в Нацполіції обіцяли провести, починаючи з 8 серпня, досі не відбулась.

«Із 8-го числа ми просимо, щоб слідчі провели дослідження горища і квартири Михайла Ткача із застосуванням спеціальних засобів, які можуть виявити прослуховувальну апаратуру, втім, цього не відбувається. Сьогодні з’явився експерт, але він тільки подивився на отвори. Його завданням було з’ясувати, з якої сторони було свердління в квартиру, – згори чи знизу. Це питання він з’ясував для себе – сказав, що так, дійсно, з горища було свердління», – розповів Попов.

Слідча група, яка прибула на місце подій, повідомила адвокатові, що завданням групи є «необхідність зафіксувати, з якого боку відбувалося свердління» – з горища чи квартири. Також слідчі повідомили, що до цього вже були в квартирі поруч і слухали, чи чути свердління, якщо воно відбувається на горищі. Від більш детальних коментарів слідчі Нацполіції на місці експерименту утримались.

Під час огляду провели слідчий експеримент.

«За його допомогою намагались встановити, якщо застосовувати перфоратор, чи будуть чути в сусідній квартирі відповідні шуми. Слідство не встановило, яким чином проводилось свердління цього отвору, тому використовувати якийсь, як їм здається, подібний інструмент – недоречно. Ніякого значення цей слідчий експеримент не має. Це втрата часу і неефективне розслідування кримінальної справи», – підкреслив адвокат Анатолій Попов.

У ніч на 8 серпня журналіст програми розслідувань «Схеми» Михайло Ткач заявив про те, що виявив у себе вдома ознаки пристрою негласного стеження. Це – тонкий глибокий отвір у стелі на кухні, що веде до спільного горища, до якого є доступ із різних під’їздів. Напередодні журналіст отримував сигнали від своїх джерел про можливе стеження.

8 серпня поліція розпочала кримінальне провадження за статтею про порушення недоторканності приватного життя журналіста.

Того ж дня Національна поліція відкрила ще одне кримінальне провадження – за статтею щодо незаконного обігу і використання прихованих записувальних пристроїв, про що журналіста повідомили лише 13 серпня.

Із моменту виклику поліції журналіст і його адвокат наполягають на проведенні перевірки квартири спеціальною технікою.

На прохання Радіо Свобода відеозапис із місця подій і фотографії знахідок (отворів на горищі і в стелі на кухні журналіста) переглянули вузькоспеціалізовані фахівці і відомі криміналісти-правники.

Опитані Радіо Свобода спеціалісти зійшлись на думці, що отвори у стелі квартири і на горищі, ймовірно, свідчать про спроби встановити записувальний пристрій. Більшість із них вважає, що до цього могли бути причетні нинішні або колишні працівники оперативно-технічних підрозділів правоохоронних органів. Експерти розходяться хіба що в тому, чи записувальний пристрій вже встигли прибрати, чи його ще не встигли встановити; йдеться про відеоспостереження чи аудіопрослуховування і про те, хто може за цим стояти.

Вночі 17 серпня близько 00:30 невідомі в Броварах підпалили автомобіль, який належить водієві програми «Схеми» – учасникові знімальної групи Борисові Мазуру.

Згодом поліція Київщини розпочала кримінальне провадження за фактом пожежі автомобіля працівника ЗМІ.

Президент України Володимир Зеленський відреагував на підпал авто «Схем»: «не допущу, щоб за мого президентства критика влади тягнула за собою переслідування».

Пізніше у ДСНС заявили, що відбулося «занесення стороннього джерела запалювання», коротке замикання виключене.

17 серпня у МВС запевнили, що розслідування справ «буде максимально об’єктивним та відкритим для суспільства, а виконавці і, головне, замовники мають бути притягнуті до кримінальної відповідальності».

17 серпня в. о. президента Радіо Свобода Дейзі Сінделар закликала українську владу швидко розслідувати ці кримінальні провадження і створити умови, щоб журналісти могли працювати безпечно й без страху.

Q&A: What’s Happening at the US Postal Service, And Why?

The U.S. Postal Service is warning states it cannot guarantee that all ballots cast by mail for the Nov. 3 election will arrive in time to be counted, even if ballots are mailed by state deadlines. That’s raising the possibility that millions of voters could be disenfranchised.
It’s the latest chaotic and confusing development involving the agency, which has found itself in the middle of a high-stakes election year debate over who gets to vote in America, and how. Those questions are particularly potent in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, which has led many Americans to consider voting by mail instead of heading to in-person polling places.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends mail ballots as a way to vote without risking exposure to the virus at the polls. But President Donald Trump has baselessly excoriated mail ballots as fraudulent, worried that an increase could cost him the election.
Democrats have been more likely than Republicans to vote by mail in primary contests held so far this year.

The Post Office has lost money for years, though advocates note it’s a government service rather than a profit-maximizing business.
In June, Louis DeJoy, a Republican donor and logistics company executive, took over as the new postmaster general and Trump tasked him with trying to make the Postal Service more profitable. Doing so would also squeeze businesses such as Amazon. Its chief executive, Jeff Bezos, has come under criticism from Trump because of the coverage the president has received from The Washington Post, which Bezos owns.
DeJoy cut overtime, late delivery trips and other expenses that ensure mail arrives at its destination on time. The result has been a national slowdown of mail.
The Postal Service is hoping for a $10 billion infusion from Congress to continue operating, but talks between Democrats and Republicans over a broad pandemic relief package that could have included that money have broken down.
On Thursday, Trump frankly acknowledged that he’s starving the postal service of that money to make it harder to process an expected surge of mail-in ballots. Trump on Saturday attempted to re-calibrate his position. He said that he supports more funding for the postal service but refuses to capitulate to other parts of the Democrats’ relief package — including funding for cash-strapped states.Why Does This Matter in An Election Year?
Mail-in ballots have exploded in popularity since the pandemic spread in mid-March, at the peak of primary season. Some states have seen the demand for mail voting increase fivefold or more during the primaries. Election officials are bracing for the possibility that half of all voters — or even more — will cast ballots by mail in November.
Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah and Washington state have universal mail voting, and California, Nevada and Vermont are starting universal mail voting in November. But the rest have little experience with such a volume of ballots cast through the mail.
Timely mail is key to voting by mail. In states without universal mail-in voting, applications for mail ballots are generally sent out to voters by mail. They’re returned, again, by mail. Then the actual ballots are sent to voters by mail, and returned, again, by mail, usually by Election Day.
Late last month, Thomas J. Marshall, the post office’s general counsel and executive vice president, sent states a letter warning that many of them have deadlines too tight to meet in this new world of slower mail.
Pennsylvania, for example, allows voters to request a mail ballot by Oct. 27. Marshall warned that voters there should put already completed ballots in the mail by that date to ensure they arrive by Nov. 3.
This has been a potential problem since the Obama administration, when the post office relaxed standards for when mail had to arrive. But it’s particularly acute when the volume of mail ballots is expected to explode in states such as Pennsylvania, which only approved an expansion of mail voting late last year. It’s also acute when the president has said openly he wants to limit votes by his rivals by keeping them from voting by mail.What Happens Next?
It’s unclear. The first question is whether there will be a coronavirus relief bill that could help fund the post office. Republicans and Democrats are far apart on the measure and Congress has gone home for a few weeks.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is calling the chamber back into session this week to address the Postal Service.
A vote is expected Saturday on legislation, the “Delivering for America Act,” that would prohibit any changes in mail delivery or services for 2020. Congress is on summer recess and had not been expected to return until September. The Senate remains away.
If there’s no resolution of the coronavirus aid, the matter is sure to come up during negotiations in September to continue to fund the federal government. The government will shut down if Trump doesn’t sign a funding bill by Sept. 30.
States can also act to change their mail balloting deadlines. That’s what Pennsylvania did this past week, with the state asking a court to move the deadline for receiving mail ballots back to three days after the Nov. 3 vote, provided the ballots were placed in the mail before polls close on Election Day.
Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and some other Democratic lawmakers are also seeking a review of DeJoy’s policy changes. In response to the letter, spokeswoman Agapi Doulaveris of the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General said the office is “conducting a body of work to address the concerns raised.” She declined to elaborate.

«Я, «Побєда» і Берлін» – у Львові почались зйомки фільму за сюжетом книжки Кузьми Скрябіна

У Львові 17 серпня, в день народження українського музиканта Андрія Кузьменка (Кузьми Скрябіна) розпочали зйомки фільму «Я, «Побєда» і Берлін», за сюжетом однойменної книжки загиблого співака. Виробництво фільму відбувається за підтримки Міністерства культури та інформаційної політики і Держкіно України.

За інформацією авторів, це фільм про українського музиканта Кузьму, який лише починає свою творчість і з другом Бардом їде до Берліна на іржавій машині «побєді». Цей авто він хоче обміняти в німецького колекціонера на «шестисотий» «мерседес». Вся ця витівка – задля коханої дівчини, мандрівка з пригодами, яка змінила героя у ставленні до багатьох речей у житті.

Режисерка-постановниця стрічки – Ольга Ряшина, продюсери – Олексій Терентьєв і Влад Ряшин.

Розпочали зйомки зі Львова, який був знаковим для Андрія Кузьменка, про який він писав свої пісні. Тут він навчався в медінституті і мав багато друзів. Місця, які обрали для знімальних майданчиків, мають нагадувати 90-і роки минулого століття. А робота тут триватиме до 27 серпня. Далі – зйомки у Києві і Берліні.

У фільмі звучатимуть кавер-версії найвідоміших хітів Кузьми Скрябіна у виконанні популярних українських артистів.

Проєкт компанії «Star Media», яка й знімає фільм, став одним із переможців 11-го конкурсного відбору Держкіно. Прем’єра запланована у 2021 році.

Раніше 17 серпня президент України Володимир Зеленський підписав указ про присвоєння музикантові звання Героя України.

Цього дня Андрієві Кузьменку мало б виповнитись 52 роки. Український музикант загинув у транспортній пригоді 2015 року, 2 лютого, біля села Лозоватка Дніпропетровської області. Кузьма повертався з концерту у Кривому Розі.

A Century After Gaining Right to Vote, Do Women Still Face Voter Suppression?

Feminists in the late 19th and early 20th centuries fervently campaigned for women’s suffrage in the United States by organizing, petitioning and picketing. One hundred years ago this month they were finally granted the right to vote through passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. From the time the amendment was introduced to Congress in 1878, it took more than 40 years for it to be passed and then ratified by three-quarters of the states. The fight to vote goes back to the first women’s rights convention in Seneca Falls, New York, in 1848. Held at Weslyan Methodist Church, the convention was attended by an estimated 300 people, including abolitionist Frederick Douglass. No women of color were present. A century later, many women still face voter suppression, says the League of Women Voters, including “forcing discriminatory voter ID and proof-of citizenship restrictions on eligible voters, reducing polling place hours in communities of color, and illegally purging voters from the rolls.” Inequalities like these and others may be alleviated through passage of the Equal Rights Amendment, proponents say, which was introduced to Congress in 1923, three years after women gained voting rights. The ERA was approved by the House of Representatives in 1971 and by the Senate in 1972. It was ratified by three-quarters of the states in January 2020 — years after the deadline. Eleanor Smeal, president of the Feminist Majority Foundation, argues that if the deadline was removed, the amendment that says “Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any state on account of sex,” could become a part of the Constitution. Like women who fought for voting rights, Smeal said, “the Equal Rights Amendment is very important because it establishes that all women must be treated equally under our Constitution.” Among other things, she explains, it will end pay, education and insurance discrimination, and help prevent violence against women.

Зеленський про підпал авто «Схем»: «не допущу, щоб за мого президентства критика влади тягнула за собою переслідування»

Президент Володимир Зеленський відреагував на підпал автомобіля програми журналістських розслідувань «Схеми» (спільний проєкт Радіо Свобода та телеканалу UA:Перший), яке належить водієві програми – учаснику знімальної групи Борису Мазуру.

«Свобода слова – фундамент будь-якої демократичної країни. Журналістська діяльність ніколи не може бути підставою для переслідувань, – йдеться у повідомленні на сторінці Володимира Зеленського у фейсбуці. – Як президент України я завжди захищатиму права кожного громадянина, незалежно від його особистого ставлення до мене».

Зеленський пригадав, що коли він займався творчою діяльністю, критика влади «неодноразово створювала проблеми» його команді: «Моя творча діяльність завжди була пов’язана з досить гострою критикою чинної на той час влади. Неодноразово це створювало нашому колективу проблеми. Від неофіційних натяків «хлопці, ви дожартуєтесь» – до прослуховування, стеження, реальних перешкод та заборон у проведенні концертів чи зйомок. Я пройшов все це, я знаю, як це, і ніколи не допущу, щоб за мого президентства будь-яка критика влади тягнула за собою переслідування або залякування».

Також президент висловив сподівання, що відповідальні швидко будуть знайдені: «У грудні 2014-го неподалік палацу «Україна» невідомі спалили моє авто. Поліції знадобилося два місяці, щоб знайти та затримати злочинців. Сподіваюся, що й цього разу правоохоронні органи максимально швидко знайдуть і притягнуть до відповідальності зловмисників, які підпалили авто програми «Схеми».

Раніше речниця президена Юлія Мендель заявила, що ця ситуація довкола підпалу авто Схем» – цілковито неприпустима.

Вночі 17 серпня близько 00:30 невідомі в Броварах підпалили автомобіль програми журналістських розслідувань Схеми» (спільний проєкт Радіо Свобода та телеканалу UA:Перший), який належить водієві програми – учаснику знімальної групи Борису Мазуру.

Головна редакторка програми Наталка Седлецька наголосила, що підпал пов’язаний саме з професійною журналістською діяльністю «Схем», «яка комусь дуже не подобається».

Згодом поліція Київщини розпочала кримінальне провадження за фактом пожежі автомобіля працівника ЗМІ.

Вночі спалили автомобіль програми журналістських розслідувань «Схеми», який належить водію проєкту

Вночі 17 серпня невідомі підпалили автомобіль програми журналістських розслідувань Схеми» (спільний проєкт Радіо Свобода та телеканалу UA:Перший), який належить водієві програми – учаснику знімальної групи Борису Мазуру. Про це повідомила головна редакторка програми Наталка Седлецька.

Це трапилось близько 00:30 17 серпня у Броварах.

«Співробітнику програми розслідувань «Схеми» спалили авто. Борис Мазур – наш незмінний водій і постійний учасник знімальної групи. Це трапилось під його будинком у Броварах о пів на першу ночі, машина відновленню не підлягає», – зазначила Седлецька.

Оперативно-слідча група провела огляд місця події.

Седлецька наголосила, що підпал пов’язаний саме з професійною журналістською діяльністю «Схем», «яка комусь дуже не подобається».

«З очевидних думок – десь рік тому Андрій Портнов опублікував усі персональні дані наших водіїв – їхні паспорти, номери авто, адреси проживання та погрожував редакції. У Нацполіції є навіть кримінальна справа з цього приводу, яка, втім, не рушить з місця. А у минулу п’ятницю Портнов вкотре опублікував ось таке: «маргинальное Радио Свобода – продолжаю комплекс учебно-воспитательных мер», – написала Седлецька.

Водночас, за її словами, «навряд чи доводиться обмежуватись лише цією версією».

«Цю машину дуже добре знають у широкому колі фігурантів наших матеріалів. Цей автомобіль по суті був нашим робочим інструментом, за допомогою якого ми зняли велику кількість журналістських розслідувань», – заявила головна редакторка «Схем».

«Був хлопок, що дає підстави стверджувати, що відбувся саме підпал, – розповів адвокат Володимир Щиголь, який виїхав на місце. – В подальшому, коли проводився огляд, було з’ясовано, що найбільш вірогідно підпал відбувся з лівої частини з боку переднього колеса».

За словами захисника, криміналісти взяли зразки речовини, за допомогою якої, ймовірно, був підпалений автомобіль співробітника «Схем».

«Хімічні зразки, які були відібрані за місцем вчинення злочину, будуть відправлені на експертизу і буде встановлено, за допомогою якої речовини було здійснено підпал. А далі слідство буде встановлювати походження речовини і так далі», – пояснив Щиголь.

І додав: «Враховуючи те, що ця машина постійно використовувалась у професійній журналістській діяльності, очевидно має місце, окрім самого знищення майна – ще й перешкоджання журналістській діяльності, що є теж кримінальним злочином. У слідчого тепер є 24 години, щоб визначити кваліфікацію, внести відомості до ЄРДР і правильно скерувати розслідування».

Раніше знімальна група «Схем» неодноразово зазнавала перешкоджань своїй професійній діяльності.

У листопаді 2019 року колишній народний депутат та ексзаступник голови Адміністрації президента Віктора Януковича Андрій Портнов оприлюднив персональні дані члена знімальної групи програми «Схеми: корупція в деталях» Бориса Мазура, а саме його повні паспортні дані та домашню адресу, номери авто, а також дані, які свідчать про стеження за його місцем проживання.

Згодом Андрій Портнов пригрозив усій редакції «Схем» публікацією «їхньої особистої та персональної інформації», а також «аналізом приватного життя і ненав’язливим супроводом у темний час доби». Він також не виключив можливого стеження за членами редакції «Схем».

Тоді Національна поліція України зареєструвала кримінальне провадження за двома статтями Кримінального кодексу України – «перешкоджання законній професійній діяльності журналістів» і «погроза або насильство щодо журналіста». Кримінальне провадження і досі на стадії досудового розслідування.

8 серпня 2020 року журналіст програми розслідувань «Схеми: корупція в деталях» Михайло Ткач повідомив, що виявив у себе вдома ознаки пристрою прослуховування. Поліція розпочала два кримінальних провадження: одне за статтею про порушення недоторканності приватного життя журналіста, друге – щодо незаконного обігу й використання прихованих записувальних пристроїв, але так і не провела огляд приміщення за допомогою спеціального обладнання, яке здатне виявити наявність пристроїв для прослуховування.

У жовтні 2015 року під час зйомок сюжету про дорогі автомобілі працівників СБУ, що не відповідають їхнім офіційним доходам, на знімальну групу «Схем» у складі Михайла Ткача й Кирила Лазаревича скоїли напад співробітники СБУ. Під час затримання, як свідчать записи відеокамер, вони застосували силу до знімальної групи, відібрали і пошкодили техніку.

У вересні 2017 року співробітники Державного управління охорони скоїли напад на знімальну групу «Схем» біля одного з ресторанних комплексів під Києвом, де, за інформацією журналістів, святкували весілля сина тодішнього генпрокурора Юрія Луценка Олександра. У момент, коли закриту вечірку мав залишити на той час президент України Петро Порошенко, працівники УДО напали на знімальну групу програми, в результаті чого оператор Борис Троценко зазнав струсу мозку та пошкодження руки.

У листопаді 2017 року на знімальну групу «Схем» напали охоронці Віктора Медведчука, коли журналісти проводили зйомки біля аеропорту «Київ» (Жуляни), фіксуючи прямі перельоти Медведчука до Росії. У грудні того ж року одному з нападників оголосили підозру. Судовий розгляд справи по суті триває і досі.

27 серпня 2018 року Печерський районний суд Києва на вимогу Генеральної прокуратури дав їй дозвіл отримати від провайдера інформацію з телефону головної редакторки «Схем» Наталки Седлецької. У жовтні 2018 року ЄСПЛ безстроково заборонив слідчим отримувати дані з мобільних телефонів авторки та ведучої програми «Схеми» Наталки Седлецької. У липні 2019 року ЄСПЛ завершив розгляд у справі Наталки Седлецької проти ГПУ і перейшов до стадії винесення рішення. За словами адвоката Седлецької Сергія Зайця, цей етап може тривати протягом року або півтора.

22 лютого 2019 року журналіст програми «Схеми» Михайло Ткач подав заяву в Національну поліцію через систематичне стеження охороною олігарха Ріната Ахметова за ним і знімальною групою, яке тривало протягом пів року.

6 березня 2019 року під час зйомок у селищі Чабани у Київській області на знімальну групу програми «Схеми» у складі журналістки Катерини Каплюк та оператора Бориса Троценка був здійснений напад у приміщенні Чабанівської селищної ради. Чоловіки завдали травм оператору і зламали відеокамеру.

Пізніше у головному управлінні Національної поліції в Київській області повідомили, що відкрили провадження за даним фактом – за ст. 171 ККУ (Перешкоджання законній професійній діяльності журналістів) Кримінального кодексу України.

Підпал автомобіля «Схем»: поліція відкрила провадження

Поліція Київської області розпочала кримінальне провадження «за фактом пожежі автомобіля працівника ЗМІ», повідомляє пресслужба Нацполіції.

Вночі 17 серпня невідомі підпалили автомобіль програми журналістських розслідувань Схеми» (спільний проєкт Радіо Свобода та телеканалу UA:Перший), який належить водієві програми – учаснику знімальної групи Борису Мазуру.

«Подія кваліфікована як умисне знищення або пошкодження майна. Призначено експертизи. Вночі на спецлінію «102» надійшло повідомлення про загоряння авто у місті Бровари. Також пошкодження отримала й автівка, яка була припаркована поруч», – йдеться в повідомленні.

У поліції додали, що під час проведення першочергових слідчих дій відібрали зразки для проведення експертного дослідження щодо встановлення причин займання авто.

Санкція статті передбачає позбавлення волі на строк від трьох до десяти років.

«Зусилля поліції спрямовані на встановлення камер відеонагляду та причин займання автомобіля», – йдеться в повідомленні.
